Assalamualikum dearie all, hope everybody is Alhamdulillah on this very Blessed Friday. Eating healthy foods is the only way to good health, well, it is easier said than done....can anyone actually resist this ???
Super yummy delicious, crunchy snacks....healthy. ????? too, maybe....well, according to my version. Instead of eating one whole bar of your favorite chocolate, make it healthy by turning it into this "healthy" snacks....not feeling guilty.
You will need:
200 gm Cornflakes
100 gm Almond flakes or slivers -toasted
( or whatever nut you fancy)
add more if you wish
2 150-175gm bars of Milk Chocolate ( any brand, I use Cadbury )
( or any of your favorite, dark, white etc)
3 tabs butter
1/2 tsp salt
In a large bowl mix cornflakes, nuts and salt.
In a heat proof container, break the chocolate bars into small pieces and add butter.
Melt it using the double boiler method.
Once melted, add the chocolate to the cornflakes mixture and mix until evenly coated.
You can eat it straight away now, or if you can wait, place them in small paper cups and refrigerate before consuming.
Simple and easy....yummmm....enjoy!
